3/18/2017 0 Comments BOXALL TWO IN BIZARRE FAREHAM WINAlex Boxall scored twice including a late winner as Fareham snatched a crucial 2-1 win over relegated National League Western Conference rivals Bristol University at Henry Cort.
Boxall gave Fareham an early second half lead but the Bristol students, needing two wins to stay up themselves, equalised through Tom Wilson. Three minutes from the end Bristol, desperate to win, substituted their goalkeeper for a kicking back – and leaked a winner when Fareham broke from an aerial and Boxall rolled home their winner. Despite a Martin Gough brace which secured a 2-2 draw at Cardiff, Chichester are favourites for the relegation play-off. With one game to go (they face Old Georgians), Chi are one point below Fareham (who visit Birmingham University) and Isca. Havant look set to regain their Western Conference spot after a 6-4 win at London Edwardians, while Winchester beat Trojans 4-2 to remain hot on Oxford University’s tails in South Premier 2.
