Fareham/Southampton end term with win

Fareham and Southampton completed their pre-Christmas programmes on a winning note and go into the winter break in healthy mid-table South Women’s League Division 3B positions.
Vicky Field (left), Kate and Laura Ryan scored as Fareham won 3-2 at Wimbledon to go into the shutdown in seventh place, two below Southampton, who completed the double over Lewes, Nat Romain scoring the 1-0 winner from the fourth early penalty corner they city girls forced.  The evergreen Linda Dunham was back in goal for Southampton, keeping a clean sheet after a ten-week absence with a broken leg.
