Melanie Insall is Trojans’ goal-scoring goalkeeper !
Swapping her regular role between the posts, she underlined her goal-scoring prowess with a second half brace as Trojans’ ladies strolled to a 3-0 win over Fareham in the Hampshire Women’s Cup final. Daisy Strange for the scoring underway with a first half penalty corner before Insall struck twice to put a one-sided final to bed. Trojans skipper Jenny Peebles poured cold water any idea Melanie had of continuing her new role as a striker. “No,” she said. “She’s too good in goal.”
