HAMPSHIRE HOCKEY FINALS DAY

Underdogs Wimborne Wayfarers are planning to upset the formbook by beating favourites Havant in Bank Holiday Monday’s Hampshire Shield final at the Army complex, Aldershot, 3pm.
They were runners-up in Hampshire/Surrey Regional Division 1 this season, compared with Havant’s South Hockey League Premier Division championship triumph, which celebrated a return to the National League Western Conference next season.
The Women’s final features Southampton against hot favourites Basingstoke (1.45), while the Under-18 final between Bournemouth and cup holders Winchester is a repeat of last season.
