Havant enjoy league and cup double

Havant built on their 2-1 win over Cheltenham – a result which lifted them to fourth place in the West Conference – by advancing to round two of the National Knock-Out Cup with a hard-fought 3-2 victory at Bristol Firebrands.
Mike Deller-Merricks, Ethan Hoddle and Mohammed Toseeq Arshad were all on target for Havant, whose win over Cheltenham was down to a late 66th minute winner by Matt Cox, Muhammad Arshad having earlier given Havant the lead.
Havant’s prowess will be tested when they visit leaders Exeter University on Sunday lunchtime.
