Havant have scored eight times since their return to West Conference hockey – but they’ve to win any of their three games.
That trend will need to end on Sunday when they host Bristol-based Clifton Robinson (Havant College, 2pm), who have yet to pick up a point. Havant are without Matthew Boote and the injured Jonathan Pickett (quad), while Fareham expect to be without influential Scottish U23 international Christian McKenna for the joust with Cardiff & Met at Sophia Gardens. Fareham hope to find Cardiff subdued after last weekend’s dual beatings in the Euro Hockey League in Barcelona. Teenager Will Raymond, who recently began a three-year Sport & Exercise degree course at Cardiff, is named in the Met squad, but may opt to spend Sunday afternoon head buried in his textbooks. In Women’s hockey, Trojans look to make it four wins on the bounce when Swansea City visit Stoneham Lane for a noon push-back. Weekend’s fixtures – Saturday Men South Premier Division 1 Bromley & Beckenham v Winchester Division 2 Trojans v Tulse Hill & Dulwich (Stoneham, 1.30) Regional Division 1 Basingstoke v Wimborne Wayfarers (Down Grange, 1.30), Sunbury & Walton Heath v Fareham II. Division 2 Southampton v Gillingham (SC, 1.30), Winchester II v Camberley & Farnborough (Kings, 1.30). Women England League West Conference Trojans v Swansea City (Stoneham, noon) South League Division 2 PHC Chiswick v Trojans II Division 3 Southampton v Aldershot & Farnham (SC, noon), Worthing v Fareham. Sunday Men England League West Conference Cardiff & Met v Fareham (Sophia Gardens, 12.30), Havant v University of Birmingham (College, 2pm)
