Toby's maiden goal sets up Trojans victory

Trojans maintained second place in South League Premier Division 2 after scoring twice in each half to beat Blackheath & Elthamians 4-1 at Stoneham Lane.
The initial ten minutes were a relative stale mate with Trojans pressing Blackheath high, without creating any clear chances. 
But Trojans pressure paid off when Scott Summers found new boy Jonny Baker for a tap in at the back post. 
Shortly after Rich Aves broke free to find James Butt who put the ball away calmly to give Trojans a 2-0 interval lead.
A scrappy Blackheath response from David Lawrence put the North Kent visitors back in the game before Peter Symondians College ace Toby Dudson celebrated his maiden South League goal after a neat move with Dan Ferrier.
Coach Ian Bassett explained: “The goal was relatively fortunate, Toby re-joining the game after a green card suspension in the middle of a Trojans counter attack. 
“Normally a right-back, he found himself in unusual territory but took his chance well for his first senior goal.
”There were long celebrations at Costa over the weekend.”
Trojans, who go to Tulse Hill & Dulwich on Saturday, finished the game off with a fourth goal, after Dave McNee found Scott Summers for a trade mark wallop into the net, with the Blackheath goalkeeper unmoved.
